Why do I keep dreaming my husband is in a bed with another woman in the same room with our daughter, my mother, and myself and my mom goes to put my daughter in bed with them and I freak out.

A girl may therefore unconsciously believe that she has been castrated by her mother and is now an incomplete male. According to Freud this gives rise to ‘penis-envy’, which is one of the root causes of women’s feelings of inferiority.
