Understand My Dreams

Dreams pitcher

It was summer and I was at my aunt’s house in Miami, Florida. I was standing behind the baseball batting cage watching my teammates practice hitting baseballs. After two or three hitters, it was my turn. I remember walking up to the plate and shaking very nervously. My teammates were heckling at me. They were yelling statements which would be considered as negative and in a put down type fashion. I stood there by home plate waiting for the pitcher to throw me the ball. As the pitcher finally throws me the ball, I remember closing my eyes and swing the bat. I feel the bat making contact, and just as it does I open my eyes and see the ball out by the warning tracks and over the homerun wall. My teammates stop their heckling and I continue to complete my turn at batting practice. The next thing I remember is that I am at the gym at Wilfrid Laurier University running on one of the treadmills. I remember listening to mm iPod as I am running. I remember a sudden soft tap on my right shoulder as I am running; I look back and notice it is a female which I do not recognize. However, it seems as though she knows who I am as she is standing the smiling at me. I stop running and take the headphones out of my ear and ask if I can help her. I am then using the free weights at the gym. I am standing in front of the mirror and doing arm curls as I notice the same girl standing behind me. I remember turning around and all of a sudden the room went dark. I turn around to look at the mirror again and I am now skipping rope. I remember leaving the gym and returning to my apartment. I open my door to my apartment and proceeded to the kitchen, specifically the fridge. As I open the fridge door and have my head inside the fridge I hear a voice calling my name and welcoming me home from Spring Training. I turn around and it is the same female from the gym. Only this time I recognize her as I hug and kiss her and greet her by her name. I then find myself on the players bench at the hockey game all dressed up in hockey equipment. I am a player for the team and playing in front of a large crowded. I feel a tap on my shoulder pads, I look back and it is my coach from when I was a little kid. I hop on the ice. I then find myself on the bench again, this time looking into the crowd. I notice the female from the gym and my apartment sitting in the crowd (I presume she is my girlfriend ). I then notice she is with another man, who she starts to kiss. I leave the hockey rink and I drive back to my apartment. When I open the door to my apartment, the interior has become the Wilfrid Laurier University gym. I walk up to the treadmill and start running. I stop running and head towards the change room, as I open the door I find myself standing alone in the outfield of the baseball diamond; it is dark and only one flood light shine above me.

An old abandoned white vintage victorian house, shabby and falling apart. i ascend whats left of the staggered stairs, into the crook of the attic, where lie pieces of scrap and junk. many people gather in, pouring contents into a large boulder, it is later transformed into a giant amethyst geode, i realize i just witnessed an alchemical proccess, i see the bowls of salt and pitchers of flux strewn out on the table, the crew then gather outside the door, removing a giant american flag from its post and hanging something else in its absence. i hear music and talking. a jester woman fumbles and humors the crowd. i am outside, i remove my sock and regrow a toe from a sprout, you ask me what i have there and i remove my limbs to fashion you a new member (genital).

I was hanging with my sister brother daughter and my dead uncle and he dead wife, there were people everywhere music plays the building was haunted.we my daughter and I went to restroom so did my sis I was about to grab something from small talble things fell some girl said restroom was haunted I also saw pregnant girl in rr, then we went to resturant in building my brother sister uncle aunt were sitting at table with pitcher a beer my daughter and I joined them.then I realized and I said uncle aunt u guys are deadmy sister said yes its a dream you are really in ur room sleeping.then I said awe I told my uncle aunt that I missed them and hugged them my uncle said to me keep having fun.then I woke up and asked myself where am I.iwas of course sin my boyfriend condo.

I was on my ship that I served on in the Navy in the 1980's walking by a compartment and in the compartment I saw 4 NY Yankees from the 1970's - 3 pitchers (Ron Gidury, Goose Gossage, and Catfish Hunter) as well as another player not a pitcher but I can't recall who it was. They all had boxes of baseball memorabilia from the 70's with them. I realized that I had in essence stepped back in time that we were in present day 2012 but they were in essence in the 1970's and could not "reach" me. I also realized that their memorabilia was valuable. For whatever reason I was a real jerk to them - and I knew that there was nothing they could do about it. For example, I told Goose Gossage that he was going to have a hard time getting into the hall of fame, told Gidury that he would become a Yankees pitching coach and nothing more, and told Catfish hunter that he would die a young man of Lou Gehrig's disease. I also told them how successful Reggie Jackson had become. I was also rummaging through their memorabilia and was going to steal some of it. Through all of this they just stood there behind their memorabilia and it seemed as though they could do or say nothing. They were almost like cardboard figures. For whatever reason I decided not to take anything and began to walk out, and as I did I looked over my shoulder and made a wise ass comment, but I don't recall what it was. As I turned again to look forward I saw Joe Torre, Bucky Dent, Craig Nettles, Chris Chambliss, and other 1970's Yankees walking in, but they were not young and in their 20's but as they currently look and in their current age. I remember distinctly that Joe Torre was in front and was holding a baseball bat - he was also wearing sun glasses. It was at that point that I realized that I had not stepped back in time but we were in present day and that these Yankees were all gathering for old timer's day. No one said a word to me and I walked out past the Yankees that came in. Fear and shame swept over me because I knew that my actions would be known to the world. That's where the dream ended.
