Meaning of snakes in a dream

For a woman to dream that a dead snake is biting her, foretells she will suffer from malice of a pretended friend. To dream of snakes, is a foreboding of evil in its various forms and stages. To see them wriggling and falling over others, foretells struggles with fortune and remorse. To kill them, you will feel that you have used every opportunity of advancing your own interests, or respecting that of others. You will enjoy victory over enemies. To walk over them, you will live in constant fear of sickness, and selfish persons will seek to usurp your place in your companion's life. If they bite you, you will succumb to evil influences, and enemies will injure your business. To dream that a common spotted snake approaches you from green herbs, and you quickly step aside as it passes you, and after you had forgotten the incident to again see it approaching and growing in dimensions as it nears you, finally taking on the form of an enormous serpent; if you then, after frantic efforts, succeed in escaping its attack, and altogether lose sight of it, it foretells that you will soon imagine you are being disobeyed and slighted, and things will go on from bad to worse. Sickness, uneasiness and unkindness will increase to frightful proportions in your mind; but they will adjust themselves to a normal basis, and by the putting aside of imaginary trouble, and masterfully shouldering duties, you will be contented and repaid. To dream that a snake coils itself around you and darts its tongue out at you, is a sign that you will be placed in a position where you will be powerless in the hands of enemies, and you will be attacked with sickness. To handle them, you will use strategy to aid in overthrowing opposition. To see hairs turn into snakes, foretells that seeming insignificant incidents will make distressing cares for you. If snakes turn into unnatural shapes, you will have troubles which will be dispelled if treated with indifference, calmness and will power. To see or step on snakes while wading or bathing, denotes that there will be trouble where unalloyed pleasure was anticipated. To see them bite others, foretells that some friend will be injured and criticised by you. To see little snakes, denotes you will entertain persons with friendly hospitality who will secretly defame you and work to overthrow your growing prospects. To see children playing with them, is a sign that you will be nonplussed to distinguish your friends from your enemies. For a woman to think a child places one on the back of her head, and she hears the snake's hisses, foretells that she will be persuaded to yield up some possession seemingly for her good, but she will find out later that she has been inveigled into an intrigue in which enemies will tantalize her. To see snakes raising up their heads in a path just behind your friend, denotes that you will discover a conspiracy which has been formed to injure your friend and also yourself. To think your friend has them under control, denotes that some powerful agency will be employed in your favor to ward off evil influences. For a woman to hypnotize a snake, denotes your rights will be assailed, but you will be protected by law and influential friends. See Serpents and Reptiles

Meaning of rats in a dream

What do dreams about this subject mean? Before determing what your rat dream means, you must first ask yourself what you associate with rats, says O'Connor. Are you afraid of them or do you think they're cute? "Rats are seen by many people as pests that carry disease or cause other problems so they have many negative connotations," she notes. "Yet rats are also survivors, able to withstand harsh environments and highly intelligent. The meaning will evolve from both your association with the qualities of rats as well as what is going on in your current life." What can I learn about myself from dreaming about rats? "The first thing to think about is whether you or someone you know is behaving unethically in a situation in your life," suggests O'Connor. "You often hear the expression that someone is a 'rat,' meaning he is untrustworthy or has betrayed someone." Alternatively, a rat in your dream could represent feeling like you're caught in a maze somewhere in your daily life. Are there any tricks to avoiding or inducing dreams about this subject? If you fear rats, set the intention of waking up in a dream if a rat appears. "This is a technique known as lucid dreaming," she says. "In a lucid dream, you can notice you are dreaming and take control of the dream events and overcome your fears." If you want to dream about rats, then visualize rats before falling asleep. Beyond analysis, what cultural symbolism can be found in dreams about rats? "In Chinese culture, the first symbol of the zodiac is a rat and people born in a rat year are said to possess the positive qualities, including creativity and intelligence, of a rat," explains O'Connor. "In Hindu tradition, rats are associated with the god Ganesh, who is worshiped as the remover of obstacles. In some Native American traditions, rats are symbols of survival and lack of fear." Dreamers from these various cultural traditions may find a different meaning from those in a traditional western culture. Who tends to have dreams about this subject most frequently? According to O'Connor, rat dreams do not affect one swath of the population more than another. Does it mean anything if the rat is dead in my dream? Dreaming about a dead rat may mean you're overwhelmed or frightful about a situation in your real life. It could also represent letting go of a relationship, especially if that relationship involves betrayal. "In that case, the dream is letting you know that the situation has come to an end," notes O'Connor.

I had an odd dream where I was at an airport that I saw on a map, was like smack back in the middle of somehow, both LA and San Francisco. It was like dusk, just on the cusp of the sun setting. From where I can remember the dream starting, I was in a much smaller jet, talking to my GF, when I suddenly realised somehow, that I wasn't on that plane, but another one, and it was exactly the time my flight was supposed to be flying out. I quickly gathered my stuff, and prepared to run off the plane, across the airport in the hope I could get to my own plane. I got out onto a relatively empty tarmac, before realising (and placing a great deal of importance) on the fact I had not kissed my GF goodbye, and despite the fact I was already in a hurry and late, ran back to give her a kiss and a hug. To which she seemed too busy to facilitate quickly anyway, but I did end up getting a quick one in. I dont remember my journey across the airport, but somehow I end up at a set of doors where I need my ticket to proceed. In looking for my ticket which I am suddenly unable to find, I drop a bottle of water. An airport member acts like I dropped this bottle of water with attitude, on purpose. And basically tells me to cool my attitude. This causes me to get an attitude, and I respondly snarikly with "you think I did that on purpose? If I wanted to do it on purpose, id do more than that. Oddly also the bottle I dropped, was like the size of my thumb. Eventually this worker after finding out whats going on offers to take me in and sort me out. As they are taking me in, I see a queue of normal passengers. For a brief moment, a man staring at me, deep into my soul, like straight into my eyes, is a dead ringer for my grandfather who passed a few months ago. It out and out looked like him. When I looked away and back again however, he looked completely different. At any rate, they start helping me at the desk, and we are talking and the conversation, I explain what occurred, and that I was just stressed because I couldn't find my ticket etc, and the woman goes "And dont worry hun, thats why we are going to sort you out"..."and that'll be 2300 dollars" I exclaim that I thought they were just helping me look up *my* ticket, not charge me for a whole new ticket. I exclaim that I dont want a new ticket, and I run from the desk and drop to the ground to look through my bag yet again. This time, I am able to find my ticket. It turns out it was folded up in my passport all along! I wave the ticket at them, and run past the line of people, oddly up to a door with no secuty staff on it, but just a button that you hit that opens the door and lets you through. It's at about this point the dream ended. I know dreams dont really mean anything, but what could this dream be suggestive of?

My grandfather was looking for something which he couldn't find, he came up with an alternative by deciding to sign on a piece of paper He wrote "in whom I love: my son" I asked why he didn't become specific by writing "my son: John" because its the name i love My uncle mumbled, and i explained to my grandfather why i love the name: i said Zaccaria and Elizabeth were promised a child but the problem was that they were too old so Zaccaria didnt believe whereby God shut his mouth until he could speak: my grandfather was listening as if its the first time he heard the story My aunt then arrived, and her baby girl took all the attention, everybody stopped listening to me and gave my niece attention It was then i decided to stop telling why i loved the name John
